Two materials, one idea

Steel is exact and unforgiving. Wood moves, splits and shows its age. The brand sits where those two meet.

A workshop interior with stacked timber, hand tools laid out on a bench, and a bandsaw

Steelwood started with a simple frustration. Graphic tees are either cheap and disposable, or expensive and precious. Very few sit in the middle, where a shirt is good enough to wear constantly and cheap enough that you do not mind when it finally goes.

So the brief was narrow from the start. Heavyweight cotton that survives a wash cycle. Prints that fade with the fabric rather than cracking off it. Designs drawn from the workshop rather than pulled from a marketplace of stock art.

The name is the two halves of that idea. Steel gives you tolerance, repeatability and a hard edge. Wood gives you grain, movement and the fact that nothing stays exactly as it was made. A shirt worth keeping needs both: made precisely, then allowed to age.

Every graphic starts as a drawing. It gets tested at full print size on a real garment before it is ever listed, because artwork that looks sharp on a screen can fall apart at 12 inches wide on cotton. If it does not survive that test, it does not go up.

Why we print to order

No warehouse, no guessing

Stocking apparel means predicting how many mediums in black will sell before anyone has seen the design. Get it wrong and the surplus gets discounted, then discarded.

What it gives you

Every colour in every size, always. Nothing is ever sold out because nothing is ever pre-made. A design from two years ago is as available as one from last week.

What it costs you

A production step. Orders take up to three business days before they ship, where a stocked retailer would post the same day. That is the honest trade, and it is the only one.

What we will not do

Short list, held to strictly.

Fake scarcity

No countdown timers, no invented stock counters, no discount that was never a real price.

Stock art

Nothing gets listed that was bought from a design bundle and reworded. Every graphic is drawn for this brand.

Selling your details

Your address goes to the printer so the parcel arrives. It goes nowhere else, and there is no data broker in the chain.
