Gifts for mechanics and car lovers

30 designs

For anyone who hears a new noise from an engine and smiles.

Mechanics and car enthusiasts are easy to spot and hard to buy for. They will already have a favourite socket set, and anything for the car itself is a gamble unless you know exactly what it needs. A shirt that speaks their language is something they will wear under the bonnet and at the car meet.

The designs below cover the jokes every mechanic has lived through: the 10mm socket that vanishes, the leak that is definitely a feature, and the rod knock that is probably nothing. There are designs for the weekend enthusiast with a project car in the drive, and a few without a joke at all for the professional who is proud of the trade.

For the mechanic who has lost another 10mm

Missing sockets, rounded nuts, oil leaks and the diagnosis nobody wants to hear.

For the car lover with a project in the drive

Classic cars, weight reduction, dashboard warning lights and one more part on order.

For the professional

For the mechanic who takes the work seriously, even when the customers do not.

Buying as a gift

What do you buy a mechanic who has every tool?
Something that is not a tool. Mechanics tend to be particular about their kit, so a tool bought as a gift often duplicates one they have or is not the brand they trust. A shirt with a joke they recognise is personal without that risk, and it will get worn at work.
How do I choose the right size?
Every design comes in S to XL, and most go up to 2XL or 3XL. The easiest way to get it right is to lay a T-shirt they already wear flat, measure across the chest from armpit to armpit, and compare it with the size guide. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one; the shirts are a unisex fit and a little room is rarely a problem.
What if the size is wrong?
Because each shirt is printed after you order it, it cannot go back into stock, so exchanges for a different size are not offered as standard. That is why it is worth measuring one of their shirts first. If anything arrives faulty, misprinted or damaged, we replace or refund it in full.
Can I send it straight to them?
Printing takes about three business days, then delivery takes four to five. You can enter their address as the delivery address at checkout, so it goes straight to them.
